Let us introduce ourselves and tell you something about our ministry. Enjoy reading!
About 40% of the world's population have never heard the Gospel message and experienced that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, loves them. This reality is the inspiration for us to be missionaries. We make ourselves available to God to pass on his love to the people. Especially to those who have never heard of this message.
In 1 John 4:19 we find our mission: "We love because he first loved us."
In Austria, our experience is that there are many people who have never personally heard about God's love. Be it Austrians or refugees, artists or farmers, in every level of society there are people who have never heard and understood the Gospel - the Good News.
We are convinced that there are opportunities for those in Austria who are seeking. Here there are churches, followers of Jesus and access to the Gospel.
In other regions of the world this is not so easy. There is no church, no followers of Jesus and also no Bible in the respective mother tongue. Therefore, we want to mobilise Christians in Austria to actively work to bring the message of Jesus to these regions as well and to make his love tangible.

About us
Andreas Röthgens
As Fieldleader of OM Austria, it is my task to lead the Austrian OM team. I deal with strategic, visoninary and future-oriented issues at OM. At the same time, as being Managing Director of OM Austria, I also deal with business and legal issues.
I started my missionary service with OM in August 2008 when I joined OM-Ships on the Logos Hope as an electronics technician. There I was able to use my technical gifts. After three years of service on Logos Hope, I moved to the OM-Ships office in Mosbach, Germany.
Here, from 2011 to 2018, I was part of the marine division that ensures the technical operation of the Logos Hope. After some time, I was given responsibility for the electrical department. At the beginning of 2019, we followed the call to take over the role as Field Leader in Austria.
Rebekah Röthgens
I was born in Zambia, Africa as a child of missionaries and thus grew up on the mission field. After graduating as a nursery teacher, I joined OM Ships in 2009.
For three years I worked on Logos Hope as a member of the catering team, in event management and as a technical administrator.
Then I went to Mosbach, Germany. Here I worked in human resources management at the OM Ships head office. My tasks there included managing the personnel database and training users of the database.
In 2019, we moved to Austria as a family. Here we continued the work we feel called by God to do. For me, this means serving as a mother and supporting my husband in his role. From the home office, I continue to work in the personnel management of OM-Ships, still maintain the personnel database and support the users.
